About ChronoAge Calculator

Our mission is to provide psychologists, educators, pediatricians, and parents across the United States with an open, high-precision, privacy-first chronological evaluation platform.

Why We Built ChronoAge

For decades, US school districts, special education evaluators, and pediatric clinics relied on corporate scoring tools or manual pen-and-paper math to calculate chronological age for standardized assessments. When major assessment publishers deprecated their standalone online utilities, professionals were left dealing with ad-infested, unreliable websites that produced rounding errors or failed to support historical testing dates.

We engineered ChronoAge to set the definitive benchmark for computational precision, zero layout shift, and instant clinical reporting.

Our Mathematical Standards & Methodology

Unlike casual age counters that multiply days by 30 or assume a static 365-day year, ChronoAge utilizes the strict Gregorian Calendar Borrowing Method:

  • Accurate Month Borrowing: When borrowing days, the algorithm queries the exact calendar month immediately preceding the test date, dynamically accounting for 28, 29, 30, or 31 days.
  • Leap Year Handling: Verified century and quadrennial leap year calculations ensuring accurate day counts for February births.
  • Clinical Formatting: Direct conversion into the standard semicolon-delimited notation (Years;Months;Days) mandated by the American Psychological Association (APA) and standardized scoring systems (Pearson, Riverside Insights).

Privacy-First Architecture

Student and patient data privacy is inviolable. ChronoAge is built entirely with client-side JavaScript. All data entered into our tool runs locally on your browser. No dates of birth, student names, or clinical records are transmitted across the internet or stored on our servers.
